Ancak gelişmemiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde insanın çokta değerli kabul edilmediğini biliyoruz.

Avrupa Birliği ülkeleri, Japonya, İngiltere gibi gelişmiş ülkelerde de onaylanmıştır ve güvenle kullanılmaktadır.



Intralase yönteminin komplikasyon riskini çok aza indirdiği söyleniyor ancak bu oran nedir 1/1000 mi ,1/10000 mi ,daha mı fazla ,daha mı az? İstatistikler ne diyor?

Lasik ameliyatlarında komplikasyonların %80'i corneal flap oluşumu esnasında olmaktadır.

Intralase bu komplikasyonları önemli derecede azaltmıştır.

Komplikasyon oranı, çalışmayı yapan hekime ve çalışmanın şekline göre değişir.

Microkeratomla gördüğümüz komplikasyonların büyük bir kısmını Intralase de görmüyoruz ancak bu ameliyatın diğer komplikasyonları olarak kabul edebileceğimiz, enfeksiyon, flap altında yabancı cisim kalması, flapte kırışıklık vs gibi komplikasyonlar olabilmektedir, Intralase bunu engellemez.

İster Intralase yöntemi ister Klasik Lasik yöntemi uygulansın her iki yöntemde de "korneal flep" oluşturma yani gözün kornea kısmının kesilmesi söz konusu.

Bu kesme işleminde bir şeylerin hatalı yapılması ,bıçağın yada laser ışınlarının milimlik kayması, derine inmesi,alt tabakaya zarar vermesi gibi riskler yok mudur?

Söyleşinizin birisinde kör olma riski yok demişsiniz ancak ufak bir hata buna sebep olmaz mı?

Lasik ameliyatlarının en önemli aşaması corneal flapin oluşturulmasıdır. Bu esnada bazı şeylerin yanlış yapılması hastanın gözüne zarar verebilir. Bu körlükle de sonuçlanabilir. Peki ama nasıl?

Şimdiye dek literatürde 10 dan az körlük vakası bildirilmiştir. Bu vakalar LASIK'in ilk başladığı dönemlerde yani bundan 10 sene önce meydana gelmiş ve microkeratom cihazının içinde bulunan kalınlık halkasının takılmaması sonucu gözün delinmesi şeklinde gerçekleşmiştir.( Bir otomobile gaz pedalının konulup, fren pedalının unutulması gibi örnekleyebiliriz, kaza kaçınılmazdır ve kabul edilemez bir hatadır.)

Ülkemizde böyle bir komplikasyon olmamıştır ve tamamen hekim hatasıdır. Bu gün gelişen teknolojide böyle bir şey mümkün değildir.

Kesilen Flap in kalınlığı microkeratom cihazlarında + - 60 mikrona kadar değişebilmektedir. Bu Intralase de ise + - 10 mikrondur. Yani inanılmaz incelik oranında kornea yüzeyi kesilir. Kör olma riski bu bağlamda yoktur çünkü Korneaya yapılacak müdahale hesaplanırken daima maksimum güvenliğin hesap edilmesi gereklidir. Eğer bu güvenlik sınırlarına riayet edilmezse göz zarar görebilir. Bu zarardan maksat gözün kör olması değil gözün direncinin travmalara karsı azalmasıdır.
